The Career Launcher Apprenticeships Program is open to Micro, Small and Medium businesses (SMEs), i.e. organizations with 499 or fewer paid employees. Note: Number of employees refers to total number of paid employees, including full-time and part-time employees, who are registered on payroll at the CRA Business Number entered above. Independent contractors who are not registered on payroll should not be counted.

Financial Incentives

I understand that financial incentives are available for a maximum of two (2) new first-year apprentices per employer per Fiscal Year.(Required)

Fiscal Year means the period from April 1st of one calendar year to March 31st of the following calendar year.

I understand that financial incentives are available only for the hiring of apprentices in eligible Construction and Manufacturing Trades as defined by the Government of Canada's Apprenticeship Service Program.(Required)

$10,000 per first-year apprentice who voluntarily self-identifies as a member of an eligible equity-deserving group, i.e. women, Indigenous people, newcomers, persons with disabilities, visible minorities, and 2SLGBTQ+.
$5,000 per first-year apprentice who does not self-identify as a member of an eligible equity-deserving group.

Apprenticeships registered before a contribution agreement is signed DO NOT qualify as eligible hires for the purposes of the financial incentive.
