Job Description
NCGC is looking for an Event Coordinator to support in the delivery of an UNLEASH Innovation Lab that will be held in Whitehorse, Yukon in November 2024. Unleash Innovation Labs are global events to develop new, innovative, and scalable solutions to address the SDGs. The intern will have the opportunity to gain skills in event management, project design. and event organization. The Event Manager would work in collaboration with an event manager, the UNLEASH secretariat and advisory council to organize and execute the event.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand the requirements of the event from UNLEASH secretariat
- Be aware of budget and associated timelines
- Assist in liaising to book venues and schedule speakers
- Assist in researching vendors and choose the best combination of quality and cost
- Assist UNLEASH team in organizing the UNLEASH launch event in November 2023
- Support team with communications and marketing the event among youth among communities in YT, NWT, and Nunavut
- Supporting with logistics and administration
