Job Description

Amplify Capital is a seed-stage impact investing venture fund investing in technology companies solving for social and environmental market gaps. We seek to invest exclusively in mission-driven early-stage companies in North America that are creating technologies to solve some of the world's largest, complex, and urgent problems surrounding global health, education, and the environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Intern Role:
We’re looking for a passionate, mission-driven individual excited about impact and investing in early-stage businesses solving complex challenges. If you want to join a diverse team at the forefront of innovation and be part of the growth in impact investing, then we want to meet you! We’re looking for an investment intern to join us in our efforts to grow our portfolio of impact investments and support our small team to make a difference. We’re open to candidates from a range of backgrounds.

You will:
-Perform in-depth market analyses, and sector research for thesis development and identifying investment opportunities
-Help with marketing efforts through blog posts and educational efforts in impact investing
-Participate in virtual conferences and events, putting your networking skills to use to connect with relevant players in the ecosystem
-Support our investment team with due diligence process evaluating new investments and reporting and tracking of information related to existing portfolio companies
-Assist with improving our workflows to be more efficient

Knowledge and Skills

You’ll be a great fit if you:
-Are pursuing an undergraduate degree, and seeking a short-term preview into early-stage impact investing
-Have previous experience in consulting, venture, engineering, corporate development, accelerators or startup operations (preferred, but not required)
-Have experience with market research and able to communicate insights
-Comfortable working on tasks independently and with autonomy
-Are highly proficient in MS Office and GSuite
-Love working with a small, values-driven team that is very hard working
-Are intellectually curious, and an excellent team player with a positive attitude
-Are mission-driven and passionate about solving complex problems
-Enjoy putting your interpersonal skills to use to work towards a vision
-Are a strong communicator - you are able to explain complex concepts and to present arguments in a logical and clear manner – both verbally and in writing

Education Required

Undergraduate degree in progress
